Art Exhibition by Jane Hunter & Julie Arbuckle

Harbour Arts Centre, Irvine, Ayrshire, Scotland

Private View - 16th March 2017  7pm - 9pm

17th March 2017 - 30th April 2017

Inspired by maps, mountains and a need to understand how landscapes were formed Jane, a textile artist based in Craft Town Scotland West Kilbride, uses cloth and thread to form an aerial overview of physical geography and geology.

Julie is a landscape painter from Glasgow. Impelled to capture Scotland's wild beauty in paint, her expressive work utilises metal, maps and even paint made from rocks.

Arbuckle and Hunter bring together their work in this exhibition of paintings and textile art, approaching their shared inspirations of Scotland's geology and landscape from a different perspective.
